Serious Wreck Near La Crescent
La Crescent, MN (KROC AM News) - A Houston, Minnesota man and his wife were seriously injured Saturday in a traffic wreck near La Crescent.
The State Patrol says some large bales of hay fell off the trailer of a semi-truck and one struck a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Dale Erickson.The vehicle ended up in a ditch where it burst into flames. Erickson and his wife Teresa were taken to a La Crosse hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident happened around 9 a.m. a few miles west of La Crescent.
There were at least two more traffic fatalities reported to the State Patrol early Sunday, both in the Twin Cities area.
Several people have been killed in wrecks around the state in the last few days, including two that died Friday night near Zumbrota.
