Ohhh summer... we miss your warm, gentle touch! But unless you're already cashing in your vacation hours to fly off to someplace tropical, just keep this handy product in mind when the temps finally climb above freezing and you're itching to catch some rays again!

You see, your sunscreen won't tell you to get out of the sun... but L'Oreal's My UVPatch will.

My UVPatch looks like a small Band-Aid, but inside is a UV sensor and a near-field communications (NFC) chip.

As part of this year's Consumer Electronics Show, L'Oréal has unveiled its newest product, called "My UV Patch." The wearable detects the skin's level of exposure to the UV rays from the sun.

Just stick it on and apply your sunscreen on top of it, scan it with L'Oreal's app and you'll be able to see just how much UV you've been exposed to.

The best part? L'Oreal plans to include the disposable patch free with some of its sun protection products later this year.
