Three Ways to Make Your Phone’s Battery Last Longer

A recent survey showed that consumers want one thing, more than anything else, from their cell phone - A longer battery life. Here are three tips on extending its life.

1.  Don't leave it in the sun.  Heat actually speeds up the reaction inside the battery and drains it faster. So don't leave it in the sun or anywhere else where it will be exposed to heat.

2.  Never let the battery die. Lithium ion batteries degrade faster if you always let the battery die before charging it. **I'm totally guilty of this** Protect your battery by keeping it charged or turning the phone off if it's about to die.

3.  And If you aren't going to be using your phone... turn it off. Seems like a no-brainer but many people leave it on with apps open in the background - these will drain your battery even if you're not on your phone.
