The Rochester School District is about to put a couple properties up for sale. The Rochester School Board is scheduled to vote Tuesday evening on resolutions authorizing the district to seek proposals for the purchase of the former Golden Hill Elementary School and the Gage East Building. The Golden Hill property had housed the district’s Alternative Learning Center until that program was moved last fall to the former Market Square site along the South Broadway and has an appraised value of $1.8 million dollars. The Gage East Building, which has been identified as a possible location for a homeless housing project, has an appraised value of $1.3 million dollars. The district could decide to retain the gymnasium portion of the building, which would lower the value to around $850,000 dollars.
