One young lady who's extremely passionate about animals wants to hold a tiny fundraiser for Paw & Claws with her own lemonade stand!

When I was 8-years old, I was probably thinking about playing my next little league game, or the next time I could try and beat Super Mario Bros. on Nintendo.

Not little Mazzy Fricker.  She's got her sights set on much bigger things.

Her mom, Mandy, says she's always made lemonade stands out of old boxes so her husband Rick got the idea to make an actual wooden lemonade stand for her 7th birthday last year.

She's used it a few times already and wanted to get it out again this summer.  So now she's using it for the first time this season to raise some funds for Paws & Claws.

"She thought of this wonderful and giving idea all by herself", says Mandy.  "We're more than happy to help her contribute to such an amazing cause."

What makes this an even better story is that Mazzy, who's now 8, is interested in one day volunteering with the shelter when she's old enough.  The Fricker family has fostered dogs in the past through Camp Companion, and currently have Milly right now; who's a puppy they got through a family member.

With all the negativity surrounding our country right now involving alligators and mass shootings; it's just nice to hear about a refreshing story about how a young lady wants to make a difference in this world, regardless how small the act may be.

Mazzy and her sister Kinsey would love it if you swing by to say "hi" and enjoy some ice cold homemade lemonade from 6-7:30 PM near Nachreiner Park in northwest Rochester on Tuesday night.

Again, ALL proceeds will benefit Paws & Claws.

The girls thank you! :)
