100-Year-Old Minnesotan Returns to Childhood Home in Rochester
100-year-old Barbara Hanlon lives at Charter House- Mayo Clinic Retirement Living in Rochester. She recently visited her childhood home in Rochester which is currently up for sale, 909 8th Street SW.
KTTC writes that "Barbara Hanlon is the daughter of Dr. William Benedict, a top ophthalmologist at Mayo Clinic in the mid-1900s." Barbara went to the University of Michigan and got her degree in biology.
As Barbara walked around her old home she recalled all of the good times she had growing up there and looked at pictures from her childhood. She said "'I just can't imagine a better place to grow up. It was wonderful.'"
According to KTTC, Barbara's childhood home is considered a "bucket-list home" in Rochester.
