A Fun Way to Get Your Kiddos to Read This Summer
This is a one-of-a-kind and interactive and way to get your kids to read. It's all happening in downtown Rochester. Here are the details.
The Bookworm Walk is officially underway in downtown Rochester. Throughout the summer, families can enjoy this hands on reading experience. Starting at the Rochester Public Library, you'll take a short 10 minute walk along the Zumbro River. All along the path, you'll find pages of a book. Two books will be featured this summer - "Planting a Rainbow" by, Lois Ehlert and "Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!" by, Candace Fleming.
“The Bookworm Walk not only provides a unique opportunity for families to read together, but it is an activity that stimulates the senses and turns reading into a memorable experience for children,” RDA Program Manager, Karli McElroy.
