Trust me, it's not just your phone acting up... It's everybody's!

While it didn't affect me right away, this past weekend it finally started showing up in my texts... and oh boy did it get annoying fast.

First world problems, I know!

Well last week, Apple released a Statement saying a bug was affecting our devices including the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch that had updated to iOS 11.1.:

"If you updated your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS11 or later and find that when you type the letter "i" it autocorrects to the letter "A" with a symbol, learn what to do."

Not all users have been affected by the bug though... so for those who have no clue what I'm taking about, this is what it looked like:

Thankfully Apple released a new update – iOS 11.1.1 – which fixes this annoying autocorrect error.

If that means you, be sure to update your phone by tapping Settings > General > Software Update. Then hit "Download" to install the latest version of iOS, and that should fix the issue!

If that doesn't work, just do this:
1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
2. Tap +.
3. For Phrase, type an upper-case "I". For Shortcut, type a lower-case "i."

The company hasn't explained what caused the problem yet.

If anything, we'll at least have all these wonderful memes to remember this difficult time of our lives by!
