Art Festival Coming to Rochester this September

The Med City Arts Festival is coming to downtown Rochester this September. Enjoy dance, improv comedy, poetry slam, live music, art classes, artist demos, and interactive art. Plus, food and beverages from downtown restaurants.

Family Activities

10am-4pm: Face Painting and Henna Tattoos
11am-3pm: Make and take art classes for all ages
11am-2pm: Paws and Claws pet the pets and adoption

On The Stage

Noon-1pm: Cultural Dance
1-2pm: Comedy Improv
2:30-3:30pm: Poetry Slam.
4:30-5:30pm: Awards
6pm-10pm: Music

The event on Saturday, September 14th also features an art competition for kids. Children will be put into their respective grade level - K-5, 6-8, 9-12. And prizes will be handed out to the top 3 entries of each age group. K-5 winners will get art supplies while the other two groups will compete for cash. The top 10 entries from each division will be displayed the day of the event and sold at a silent auction. Find out more about the event and how to get your kids involved here.
