Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police responded to a highly disturbing situation at an apartment complex in Northwest Rochester Friday night.

A police spokesperson says the officers called to Gage East Apartments found a 40-year-old woman unresponsive due to a suspected heroin overdose. She was successfully revived using Narcan but refused to go to the hospital.

The police report also notes the woman was on probation and a 1-year-old child was present when she apparently overdosed. The officers found heroin on the kitchen counter next to baby food dishes and toys. The spokesperson says the child has been placed in foster care.
