Top 10 Best Public Schools in the Rochester, MN Area for 2026

Yesterday, I wrote about the top school districts in Minnesota for 2026. And then I thought, why not take a peek at which schools are ranked the highest, specifically in the Rochester, MN area?

We've got quite a few schools in our area, and based on different data from Niche, they were able to break it down into the best schools for this year.

(Heads up, Lourdes High School isn't in the rankings because this ranking was for public schools only.)

The Best Schools in the Rochester, MN Area

To determine the rankings, Niche looked at quite a few different pieces of data, including test scores, college readiness (for high schools), the culture at the school, diversity, and reviews on Niche's website.

The rankings include high schools, elementary schools, and middle schools. After we take a look at the top 10 best public schools in the area, I'll break it down to the top 10 best public high schools, too.
