One of my favorite spots in downtown Rochester, MN is getting a second location! To say I'm excited may be an understatement.

Over the past few years, we've gotten a ton of speakeasies that have opened around downtown. We've got Bitter and Pour, 1928 Cocktail Lounge, The Palmetto Room, Shhhh.... But one of them came around well before the others, and that would be Bitter and Pour.

You can find Bitter and Pour off of 3rd St. SW, down some stairs, and through a bookcase (I won't tell you how to open it though). They opened a couple of years before COVID, if I'm remembering correctly (I can't find a for sure date online).

They survived COVID and seem to be doing better than ever, especially now that they're opening a second location!

Bitter and Pour Opening a Second Location in Rochester, MN

The founders and owners, Andy and Josh, are taking on another project. They're staying in Rochester, it'll be just down the street from Bitter and Pour, but this one will be much higher than Bitter and Pour. Like, a lot higher.

Pretty soon, as in, later this summer, Andy and Josh will own both one of the lowest bars in Rochester and also one of (if not THE) highest bars in Rochester.

Introducing the Bitter and Pour Rooftop Bar. It's going to be at the very top of the building that houses Terza on Broadway.

In its past, that rooftop spot has been La Vetta and H3 Rooftop. Now, hopefully in August, it will be Bitter and Pour Rooftop.

It's literally right down the street from the underground location.

They say that the rooftop location will have a different and more casual craft cocktail menu compared to the underground, original location, which has a bit more upscale options. The rooftop location will also have more beers available, plus frozen drinks.

My first thought was, aw man, they'll only be open when the weather is nice enough. But that may not be true!

The main focus, of course, is the outdoor seating, which, unless things change, can seat around 60 people. But then there's also an enclosed area that seats around 45 people.
