Bitter Cold Temps for Saturday and Snow on Sunday

A Wind-Chill Advisory has been issued for our listening area and accumulating snow is expected for Sunday.The Wind-Chill advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Friday evening through 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

There are a few outdoor Rochester Winterfest events this weekend - as of right now they are still on. Click here for updated event info. If you plan on participating or attending please dress appropriately.

Temps will fall to -14° below early Saturday morning. The high on Saturday will be 7 above but it will feel much colder than that. Snow is expected late Saturday into Sunday. As much as 4" is expected in Rochester.

Here is the latest statement from the National Weather Service in La Crosse's facebook:

"Arctic air with bitterly cold wind chills invade the region tonight into Saturday morning: Values of -20 to -30 F! A Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 6pm tonight through 9 am Saturday. Be ready for the cold if you have outdoor plans early Saturday. Accumulating snow is then expected late Saturday night through Sunday."
