Castle Con Returns to Rochester for a Bigger, Longer Tabletop Gaming Weekend

Back for its second year, Castle Con is making a return to Rochester, MN! It's a really fun event put on by Game Haven that brings people together over a common interest in tabletop games.

Last year was the first-ever Castle Con. They hosted the weekend-long event in the Historic Chateau Theater. This year, because of demand, it's even bigger.

Tabletop Games Convention in Rochester, MN

2026 Castle Con is coming up Thursday, January 22nd, through Sunday, January 25th, making it a longer event than in 2025. It will be hosted at the Chateau Theater again, but also at the Kahler Hotel.

What Happens at Castle Con in Rochester, MN

There will be open gaming spaces, so you can grab a game from the 250+ that will be there and play whatever your heart desires.

There's also 'Learn to Play' programming (which has expanded for 2026), where you can easily hop into a game that you've never played before with the help of experienced volunteers.

On top of that, there will be a game developer panel and workshop, a jigsaw puzzle contest, board game tournaments, miniature painting classes, workshops on how to run role-playing games, and a fundraising silent auction.

Rochester, MN Castle Con Tickets

Tickets are required to get into Castle Con. You can get an unlimited pass to the entire convention for $30 (if you buy it at the door, it's $40). If you only want to go on Thursday, it's $10, just Friday is $20 (or $25 at the door), just Saturday is also $20 (or $25 at the door), and just Sunday is $10.
