I'm so thankful that I bought my house just before the real estate market exploded - I see houses similar to mine selling for 70-80k more than what I paid. The idea of finding a "starter" house in Rochester is laughable. Finding an affordable house is hard enough.

I was talking real-estate with a co-worker the other day, and we wondered what the cheapest house currently for sale in Rochester was. According to Truilia it's listed at 75k, but don't get too excited - it needs A LOT of work. To call this house a fixer-upper is an understatement.
