St Paul (KROC AM News) - More than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases were added to Minnesota’s list Friday. 

The 1,032 cases raised the state’s overall total to 74,257. Four more deaths were also reported, increasing the total to 1,814. The number of tests submitted to the state Health Dept. has risen to more than 1.4-million. 

Olmsted County reported 32 new cases on Friday, increasing its total to 2008 since the first case was confirmed. The most recent report put the county’s positivity figure at 4-percent, which is below the state goal of 5-percent.

The Minnesota Dept. of Health daily report also shows Mayo Clinic's Charter House has reported a confirmed COVID-19 case. It reported its first case in April.

Minnesota health officials have started a statewide COVID-19 compliance check of bars and restaurants in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. Violations could lead to a loss of licenses and/or other penalties.
