Nearly One Million Minnesotans Have Received COVID Bonus Payments
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State of Minnesota is reporting that nearly 1 million COVID Frontline Worker Bonus payments have been sent out over the past two weeks.
As of today, the total was just under 997,000 with just over $487 deposited into the accounts of the recipients. It was estimated that just over 1 million applications for the bonus payments had been approved.
The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry says anyone who received notice that their application had been approved but has not received their payment will be receiving an email explaining the state's initial payment attempt failed. That was due to erroneous payment information on their application. The email notice indicates they have until the end of the business day on Friday to update their payment information before a second payment attempt will be made.
The department earlier indicated that anyone who submitted an application without direct deposit information would receive a debit card in the mail next month with their $487 payment.
