Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Board is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a proposal to give businesses, landlords and homeowners more time to pay their property taxes.

The recommendation applies to the first-half taxes that are due May 15th.

If the board approves, property owners would have until July 15th to pay the taxes without penalties and interest. Property owners with escrow accounts would not be eligible for the extension.

The board has been told the purpose of the recommendation “is to provide relief to property owners that have been financially impacted by COVID-19.”
