COVID Vaccine Doses Are Now Easier to Find in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The supply of COVID-19 vaccine doses is apparently catching up with demand in the Rochester area.
The Mayo Clinic and Olmsted County Public Health have both put out notices that vaccine appointments are available this week to anyone wishing to be immunized against the COVID-19 virus. The Mayo Clinic says anyone, including non-Mayo patients and people from other states, can schedule appointments in Rochester and Mayo Clinic Health System sites across southern Minnesota.

Olmsted County Public Health also announced today that vaccination appointments are available for Wednesday, April 21 for anyone 16 years and older. You must register online and use the passcode Wellness1.
The latest statistics from the Minnesota Department of Health show close to 70 percent of eligible Olmsted County residents, or over 82,000 people have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The number of county residents who are fully vaccinated is nearing 65,000.
Statewide, over 2.3 million people have received at least one vaccine shot, which is just over 40 percent of the overall population. The latest count of Minnesotans who have completed their COVID vaccinations is now over 1.63 million.
