Surly just recently started making their own pizza and let me tell you, it's delicious! But did you know that Surly also has its own honey bee farm behind the brewery?

I had no clue this was back there, that's so cool! They use some of the honey for food they make in-house but they also are keeping bees to help the bee population.

Chef Peine is the beekeeper at Surly, so when he's not upstairs making pizza, he's outside checking on the bees.

By not transporting in honey from elsewhere they are also helping to reduce Surly's carbon footprint! "Fresher product and not harming the environment," Peine told Kare 11.

Did you know that this is behind Surly Brewing?
