Light snow fell across the region overnight creating sloppy conditions on area roads. As of 5:00 AM the Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting most roads and highways in Southeast Minnesota are completely covered in snow. 3-5 inches of additional snow is expected throughout the day with the majority of it falling during the morning hours. Travel will be difficult and dangerous today.
