Survivors of slavery and human trafficking escape taking none of their belongings with them. Mission 21 is an anti-trafficking organization serving victims of domestic minor sex trafficking. Their work is very real  and needed in Rochester. Executive Director, Stephanie Holt came to the studio to discuss the donation drive and Mission 21 efforts. Many people are often surprised that Rochester and surrounding areas would have human trafficking. The reality is that it exists.

There's ways you can help. Mission 21 has a donation drive the entire month of January in conjunction of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention month. Here's a list of donations needed:

Mission 21 not only works with victims of sex-trafficking but they also provide education/awareness to the community of what it is and how to help. Next week there's an event raising awareness.
