Eat Free on Sunday, National Taco Day
National Taco Day is this Sunday, October 4th, and one area fast-food restaurant is celebrating the occasion by giving away free tacos. Taco John's will be handing out free Beef Stuffed Grilled Tacos all day on Sunday, Oct. 4. To score your free taco, just download the Taco Johns app.
But wait, there's more!!! Taco John’s is also giving away* three "Taco & Chill" Kits on Instagram. The three winners will each get a $50 Taco John’s gift card, a $30 Netflix gift card, a taco blanket, and two pairs of taco socks. I've been searching for a photo of the taco socks to include with this story, but haven't had any luck. I have no idea what they look like, but I need a pair.
Speaking of free tacos, Taco Bell is rolling out "Taco Gifter" on National Taco Day which will allow you to use its website and app to give a taco to anyone you want to. Check that out here.
In other restaurant news, the Canadian Honker has free cake for area educators. The Rochester restaurant posted a message that said, "We know you are working hard to keep everyone safe while giving the best education you can, and right now that's not an easy thing to do! For the MONTH OF OCTOBER, we are offering anyone with a teacher's badge FREE COCONUT CAKE."
And, our listeners have voted for the top coffee shop in town. Moka took the top spot. See the top 5 here.
