4 of America’s Favorite Diners Have Locations in Minnesota

A diner is one of my favorite places to go. They're always so cozy and nostalgic. There are plenty of diners all around Minnesota, from chains to mom-and-pop restaurants.

There was a diner in the town where I went to college that was one of the top places to go as a student. If you hadn't gone to Don's and had a grilled cheese and milkshake before you graduated, you were doing it wrong.

America's Favorite Chain Diners

Diners are a staple in American history, and they're still popular spots to visit to this day.

I personally much prefer a mom-and-pop diner over a chain, but there's nothing wrong with loving chain diners, too. While there are tons of those around the country, there are only a few that can be called America's favorites.

Food and Wine found America's top 10 favorite chain diners based on Google search trends. Turns out, we've got 4 of the 10 favorites in Minnesota!

The Top Chain Diners in Minnesota

First up, we have Cracker Barrel, coming in as America's number 8 favorite chain diner.

We only have one Cracker Barrel in Minnesota, just off of I-35 in Lakeville.

Up next, we have Denny's coming in as America's number 4 favorite chain diner.

Our 3rd favorite chain diner that has locations in Minnesota is Perkins.

And finally, we have plenty of locations in Minnesota of America's all-time favorite chain diner. That title goes to... IHOP!

The only one of those four that I've never been to is IHOP... is that crazy??
