In a city that is growing, and expecting to double in size in the next 10 years, there's an even greater need for construction workers. Currently there is a nationwide shortage of 250,000 skilled workers. You don't necessarily have to go to college for 4 years to have a great career.

So how do you become a construction worker? Get your questions answered, and join the all new education seminars at the Rochester Area Builder's Home Show this weekend. Several local colleges will be on hand to provide information in the construction field at the Construction Career Center. There will also be six seminars this weekend - Saturday, February 10th and Sunday the 11th at noon, 1:15pm and 2pm.

In Minnesota, the average salary for a construction worker is $34,000, with the potential to make around $75,000 yearly, this according to Sokanu.

The education seminars are just one of the many seminars you can participate in at the RAB Home Show. Learn about solar energy, making the most of your landscape, navigating your remodel and more. To see the seminar schedule, click here.
