Folwell Neighborhood Incident Resolved Peacefully

What was a tense situation near Rochester’s Folwell School yesterday was resolved right away without mishap.  Officers were initially sent to a residence in the 1500 block of 5th street southwest around 9 a.m. after a woman called to report a man in the home had just shot himself.  Officers arrived to find the woman outside the home with a loaded gun and a machete.  The woman did not threaten the officers and told them some strangers were at her home.  The weapons were taken away without incident.

 Officers found the home empty and contacted the woman's husband who was at work.

 It was later decided the 28 year old woman should undergo a mental evaluation.
