If you've attended a professional sporting event in Minnesota you know how outrageous the concession prices are. For the amount of money you spend you should not only get a delicious item, but you shouldn't have to worry about whether or not it's safe to eat.

ESPN's Outside the Lines just published an article that outlined over 16,000 food-safety inspection reports from the health departments that monitor the professional stadiums and arenas all around the county and the results leave a lot to be desired. Below are some of the violations that occurred at Minnesota venues. You can read the full report here.

  • Target Field was cited in 2017 for "failing to ensure that insects, rodents and other pests were controlled" and for storing foods at improper temps.
  • Target Center was also cited for "failing to control insects, rodents and pests" during a Jan. 12, 2016, inspection.
  • Xcel Energy Center was cited in 2017 after inspectors found "mice droppings in the main pantry."
  • US Bank Stadium was cited in 2017 after it was noted that one area did not have running water the entire day, "indicating that employees were not washing their hands."
