Two Minnesota women have solidified their spots on Team USA Gymnastics for the upcoming Tokyo event. These incredibly talented and dedicated women will be heading to the games to show what Team USA (and Minnesotans) are made of.

Sunisa Lee of St. Paul will be competing in artistic gymnastics and is no stranger to the world’s stage. In 2019 she competed for a World Championship title and won gold for the team, a silver medal on floor, a bronze medal for uneven bars, and came in 8th for all-around. Sunisa is going to Auburn University and on track to graduate in 2025, and her Team USA bio said that when she’s not practicing, she enjoys going camping.

Grace McCallum is the third Minnesota competitor joining Team USA. Grace participates in artistic gymnastics and is from Isanti, Minnesota. Grae has previous world championship experience in both 2018 and 2019, and has taken home two medals in the past. She is the second of six siblings and said she likes to spend free time swimming and tubing at the lake. The Tokyo Olympics will be taking place from Friday, July 23 through August 8th. We can't wait to cheer on our Minnesota competitors and all of Team USA.
