Here's something you may not know about me. I love wrapping gifts. I'm not the best, but I love doing it, especially when I have a lot of space. If you're looking for the ultimate gift wrapping space, go to the Apache Mall and see who's wrapping gifts, and sign up with that non-profit. They can always use help, and the huge tables, full supplies, plus huge rolls of wrapping paper make it a dream.

Every year after that, as long as I've been in Rochester, I've wrapped gifts at the mall. Recently, with my sister Joan (for Habitat for Humanity). It almost always falls on Christmas Eve, and I love the excitement and fatigue you see in everyone. Means they're just like me.

Anyway, click the video and catch the awesome hacks. And here's my private gift wrapping hack. Cut a length of thin ribbon or string (I like thick string, but usually, the thin ribbon is handier). Make sure it's plenty long, and then, when it's time to wrap a gift, first wrap the ribbon around the box its in. Where the ribbon meets, that's how much wrapping paper you need. Then just keep it around your neck and it'll be handy for the whole wrapping session.
