As all Minnesotans know, we have some pretty amazing state parks. From Itasca to Blue Mounds to Mystery Cave, our state parks cover a wide variety of area in Minnesota.

One state park, though, which also happens to be the most visited state park in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, is up for title of the best state park in the entire country!

Gooseberry Falls State Park, the Most Visited in MN

The Minnesota DNR reports that Gooseberry Falls State Park in Two Harbors, MN has been the state's most visited state park for the past 10 years. An average of more than 760,000 people who visit every year.

Now, Gooseberry Falls could be named one of the best state parks in the US.

The voting is being done by USAToday. They have 19 different state parks from around the country that have made it to the finals, and now it's time for us to vote for which ones end up in the top 10.

Last year, I wrote about Gooseberry Falls getting 3rd place. So this year, let's get it to the top spot!

Voting is going on now until Monday, May 11th at 11 AM. From there, USAToday will tally all the votes and the final results will be shared on Wednesday, May 20th.

There are some other pretty amazing state parks that are in the running, but let's beat them out, because Gooseberry Falls is amazing too and deserves the recognition!
