Here’s the Picture That’s Breaking the Internet’s Heart

Somebody give this grandpa a hug!

You've heard the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" before; but only one word comes to mind when you see this...

This Oklahoma college student's picture of her disappointed grandpa is breaking hearts all over social media!  Since the photo was posted, it's gone absolutely VIRAL.

While she never meant for the photo to blow up the way it did, her message was a good one.  Kelsey says it was meant to be a "lesson for everybody who doesn't take advantage of having their grandparents around.  Go see them and tell them you love them."

Having recently lost my grandpa to cancer, this picture really hit home for me as he and I were really close and spoke on the regular all the time.  I didn't get to see him much while living in Rochester and Fargo the past couple years, but I always made sure to give him a call from time to time to let him know I was thinking of him, and I know he loved it just as much as a visit would.

So if you don't live close enough to your grandparents, be sure to give them a call tonight or this weekend to let them know you care - it'll make their weekend that much better :)
