Brownsville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Houston County man is facing federal explosives related charges.

58-year-old Kenneth Miller of Brownsville was arraigned this week at the federal courthouse in St. Paul on four felony charges involving the manufacture, transport, sale, and possession of explosive materials. The materials included smoke generating devices containing so-called electric igniters. Prosecutors say he is prohibited from possessing explosives because of past felony convictions and is also accused of illegally possessing three firearms.

The investigation that led to the charges was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, along with the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the St. Paul Police Department and several other federal and state agencies.
