Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - If you travel on Highway 52 between Highway 63 in Rochester and I-90, you will encounter delays starting next week.

Highway 52 will have single-lane traffic, ramp detours and delays starting on Monday, July 9th as crews repave Highway 52, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Highway crews will pave all of the lanes northbound and southbound on Highway 52 from just south of Highway 63 in Rochester all the way to I-90. Crews will also extend the turn lanes onto eastbound I-90 and add a high-tension cable barrier and repair two bridges at the Hwy 52/I-90 interchange.

Rochester Sand and Gravel is the prime contractor on the $6.6 million project and construction is expected to be completed in late fall of 2018. Motorist should expect delays, single-lane traffic, lane changes and short duration ramp closures during the construction work.
