Icy Roads Expected in Southeast Minnesota on Monday

Winter Storm Jupiter is wreaking havoc on the Midwest. At this time, Ice storm warnings are in effect in states stretching from Texas to Illinois, for what could end up being a very dangerous ice storm, causing significant tree damage and power outages.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in La Crosse say it's too soon to predict exactly what is going to happen when Jupiter hits our area on Monday, but say freezing rain, snow, sleet and rain are all possible. "What falls, where and how much still is not clear - so keep tabs on the forecasts through the weekend. Impacts to travel, starting with the Monday morning commute, are likely."
