
Drowning Reported at Brainerd Lakes Area Swimming Spot
Outing, MN (MinnesotaNow) - Authorities are investigating a drowning that occurred Saturday in the Brainerd lakes area.
The Victim's Name is Being Withheld
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office says the victim was a 29-year-old man. His name and hometown have not been released.
Rescue Attempts Failed
A statement from the Sheriff's Office indicates the victim was at Little Emily Park with a group of family and friends when he apparently drowned in the park's swimming area. The report says emergency responders attempted to rescue and revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brainerd Lakes Area Tragedy
Little Emily Park is located south of Outing and about 30 miles north of Brainerd.
The Sheriff's Office statement expressed condolences to the victim's family and friends, saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time."
