Season 28 kicks off Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Central on NBC and Peacock, with country superstar Reba McEntire, hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, and two-time champions Michael Bublé and Niall Horan back to scout fresh talent.

Small Town Minnesota Musican to Appear on Season 28 of The Voice

Kasson’s own rising country singer and songwriter, Cori Kennedy, just announced she’s auditioned for season 28 of The Voice, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her take the national stage.

Cori has well over a quarter of a million followers across her socials and shared the big news with pure excitement, writing, “It’s time to finally let the cat out of the bag! I auditioned for The Voice!!! Beyond thankful for this opportunity, and I’m SO EXCITED for you all to tune in this season.” She added a little humble brag about sharing the same space with music icons like Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg… talk about a bucket-list moment!

A native of Kasson, Minnesota, Cori draws inspiration from her roots, family, and community, she says on her website. Her music tells stories from real life. “Whether it is a melody sparked by a family gathering or lyrics inspired by a hometown fair, my music is a reflection of where I have been and where I am going.”
