
Faribault Man Airlifted After Snowmobile Crash
Canyon, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Faribault man was airlifted to a hospital following a snowmobile crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in northeastern Minnesota.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a snowmobile trail near the town of Canyon, which is located about 20 miles northeast of Duluth. A news release says the injured snowmobiler was leading a group on the trail when he crested a hill and encountered an occupied snowmobile parked on the trail.
The Sheriff’s Office says the snowmobiler swerved in an attempt to avoid the parked snowmobile, was thrown from his snowmobile, and sustained serious injuries.

The name of the 58-year-old man has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
