
Worker Struck and Killed in Minnesota Highway Construction Zone
Burnsville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a deadly mishap that occurred this morning in a highway construction zone.
A preliminary report indicates the incident happened just before 9 a.m. on southbound I-35W in Burnsville. The State Patrol says a construction boom truck was being driven in reverse in the construction zone when it struck and fatally injured a construction worker.
The name of the deceased worker has not been released, though the State Patrol indicated he was a 29-year-old resident of St. Paul.

The driver of the boom truck was identified as 50-year-old Kerry Don Ingram of North Branch. He was not injured, and the State Patrol stated that alcohol was not involved.
