Here Are The 2022 Minnesota State High School League Boys Basketball Brackets
The Minnesota State High School League has released the boy's state basketball tournament brackets. Hayfield in class A got the 1 seed and will begin the defense of their 2021 state title at 11am on March 23rd against unseeded Russel-Tyler-Ruthton.
In the Class AA bracket the number 1 overall seed went to Minneapolis North, who will open play against Glencoe-Silver Lake on March 22nd at 6pm. Southern Minnesota's Caledonia got the 2 seed and will face Perham High school also at 6pm on the 22nd.
Class AAA the number 1 seed went to Totino Grace out of Fridley, T-G will tip-off against Hermantown at 10am on March 22nd. Mankato East got the 4 seed and will face 5 seed Mound Westonka at noon on March 22nd. Austin is unseeded and opens play against number 2 seed Princeton that game starts at 2pm on March 22nd.
Class AAAA will see Park Center as the 1 seed and opening up against Andover High School at the Target Center at 10am, Owatonna got the 2 seed and opens play against Cretin Durham Hall at 2pm from the Target Center in Minneapolis.
The tournament this year opens play one day earlier, Tuesday, but still wraps up with championship games being played on Saturday beginning at 1pm. KDHL will have 16 games from the State Tournament, that broadcast schedule will be set on Monday and we will make sure to share that with you when it gets finalized.
The Big-9 Conference has three teams in the tournament with Owatonna, Mankato East, and Austin making the 'show'.
