New Update About 26 At Home Stores That Were Set To Close In The United States
On June 16th, At Home, which currently has over 260 retail stores throughout the United States, announced that 26 stores would be closing due to filing for Chapter 11. CBS News initially reported that court documents indicated this new status was due to inflation and tariffs. Sadly, the list of 26 At Home stores that were set to close included locations in Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
While many communities are still in shock over the stores closing, a bit of good news has arrived in the retail world, which doesn't seem to be the norm since the pandemic. Based on the latest news at USAToday.com, it appears that a few of the stores that At Home was planning to close are no longer on the closing list.
