You Can Help Release 100,000+ Ladybugs Inside The Mall of America – Here’s How

While most of us are trying to get the bugs out of our house, the Mall of America is doing the opposite.  Psst...they also want you to help.

This year's Annual Ladybug Release at the MOA is happening on Tuesday, April 7th.  If you'd love to make history and help out the 30,000 live plants and trees inside the Mall of America, below is everything you need to know.

Thousands of Ladybugs Are Crawling Around At The Mall of America in Minnesota - Here's Why

When your kids want to explore the rides at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America, look closely at the plants around you.  Crawling throughout the plant life at the Mall of America are thousands of ladybugs.

Don't be scared.  Those bugs are there for a very important reason.

Every year, we thrown an eco-friendly kickoff to the growing season with the release of ladybugs into Nickelodeon Universe! These ladybugs help balance our indoor ecosystem and serve as a natural pest control all year. - Mall of America

The reason why ladybugs are the bug of choice is because they are like a natural pesticide and helps protect plants from aphids and other nasty pests.

Last year, about 144,000 ladybugs were released inside the Mall of America.  Now, the team at the MOA is getting ready for another release party.
