Top 10 Hottest Accents In US Now Includes Minnesota!

The funny thing about accents is this, when we have one, we don’t realize that we do. Others have to point it out to us that we sound a little bit…different. Sometimes, that “different” is classified as “sexy”. Not sure how our long “o’s” in Minnesota make us sound sexy but if you’ve got it, you can add that word as an adjective to your resume thanks to a new report that just came out.

Minnesota Accent Just Ranked as One of the Top 10 Hottest in the United States

Ope! I try not to say that word, especially when I’m on-air for our radio stations throughout the United States. I’ve lived in Minnesota for 24 years now and I honestly don’t think that my accent has changed at all but once in a while, those Minnesotan words want to slip into my show. Now that I hear our accent is sexy, maybe I should be a little bit more intentional about sounding like I’m from around here. It might help gain a few more listeners. ;)

Penn Stakes, which is a sports betting website, is the one that did the social listening research of the sexiest accents. Based on their analysis, below are the Top 10 Sexiest Accents in the United States.

It's a good year for Minnesota!  However, next year, we could be back to what we were ranked five years ago and land just a few from last place.
