Halloween Costumes That Scream Rochester, Minnesota
Minnesota has plenty of things you could dress up as for Halloween - Prince, Target run, Hotdish - but Rochester? We have our own very specific set of inside jokes.
If you live here, you know exactly what I mean. There are things about Rochester that might make absolutely no sense to someone from out of town, but locals will see the costume and immediately go, “Ohhh, I get it.”
So if you’re looking for a Halloween costume that’s easy, practical, or maybe gets a laugh from the people around you, I’ve got some ideas that are VERY Rochester.
1. Mayo Clinic Doctor or Nurse
Does it get any more Rochester than this? You may know that we have a world-famous clinic right here, so why not pay tribute to it? Not to mention, it's the ultimate day to night Halloween costume - no need to change after leaving work. ;)
2. Kahler Guest Ghost
The Kahler is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of former Mayo Clinic patients. Find your best early 1900's attire and throw together an eerie and unique Rochester-themed costume.

3. Corn Cob
Our love for the corn cob water tower runs deep, so why not throw on the most "corny" outfit you can think of? Bonus points for carrying around more corn-related puns.
4. Second Street Waving Guy AKA Joe
