An iconic and beloved former Minnesota Twins player is going to be inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame. And this guy definitely deserves it!

Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame

There are currently 34 former Minnesota Twins players, managers, and broadcasters in the Twins Hall of Fame. Only 8 of them have had their numbers retired and this former Twin who will be inducted on Saturday, August 5th is the 9th HOF member to have his number retired.

He'll be the 35th Twins Hall of Fame member and he's also a fellow Minnesota native.

Joe Mauer to be Inducted into Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame

Yep, our Minnesota guy Joe Mauer is being inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame this Saturday! Definitely a deserving honor.

There will be a lot of former Twins at the ceremony, according to KARE 11, which will take place during the game on Saturday. For example, former teammate, other half of the 'M&M Boys', and fellow Twins Hall of Famer Justin Morneau will be the one to introduce Joe Mauer as the next Hall of Fame member.

Other Hall of Famers that are expected to be there include Bert Blyleven, Ron Gardenhire, Rod Carew, Joe Nathan, and Tony Oliva. Some huge names in the baseball world!

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I have a signed baseball that I got from Joe Mauer when he was a rookie. I didn't preserve it or anything so the ink is bleeding on it and it's not signed in a great spot but do you think I could get a lot of money for it now? Honestly, I don't know that I'd ever actually sell it, it's a cool memory I have of meeting him with my dad.
