A couple of years ago there was a trend going around Facebook, police departments were challenging each other to a dance-off, singing, lip syncing, you name it, they challenged each other. The challenges even made it to our great State, and we saw some of the metro Police Departments sharing videos on Facebook and challenging others.

Well, the Norfolk Police Department has stepped it up a notch. They got the fire department, office staff, and there was even a baby who made an appearance. They took part in the lip sync challenge and did a fantastic job. They used Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" as their song of choice, and according to their Facebook Page, they got this done in one take, on a lunch break.

I have not seen any of the local PD's being nominated, and I am not sure that a non-officer can make a nomination, but just in case, we would all love to see the local departments show off their skills here. We are looking at you, Owatonna, Faribault, Kenyon, and who can forget the Rice and Steele County Sherriff's Departments? Or Dodge or Olmsted County Sherriff's Departments. We just want to see our local peace officers showing the rest of the country how it's done. Here's the Norfolk video, and some inspiration.
