Yes, Rochester, has a homeless population.  I know it is not an easy topic to talk about and to be honest, our town has struggled with having a conversation about the homeless and how to help those who are in our area.  It's a hard number to get specifics on but the guess is that there are over 150 individuals in Rochester that are homeless.  We have an amazing non-profit who is helping, who is working side-by-side with those who are experiencing homelessness and they could use a few items so they can continue to meet the needs of those they are meeting each day on our streets.

The Landing Mn was started recently in Rochester and I've met with Dan and Holly, the individuals who run the organization, a few times.  I've even gone in a dunk tank to help raise money for this non-profit.  They wake up each day with a mission to help those who are experiencing homelessness and recently expanded their non-profit with a mobile unit called M. O. U.  Now, they need some help keeping M. O. U. fully stocked so the needs of those in our community can continue to be met.

What can you do to help?  Below are a list of items that you could grab on your next grocery run or trip to Walmart or Target.  You could even put an order in on Amazon and save a trip to the store. Get drop-off info and more about The Landing Mn here.
