Local Benefit to rally around Rochester Military Family
A benefit for Josh Kauffman will help raise funds to help his family after facing an extreme tragedy. On June 25th, 2017, Joshwa Kauffmann lost his battle to PTSD at the young age of 31. Joshwa served in the MN Army National Guard for 12 years with the 2-135 INF BN in Rochester, MN with two yearlong deployments overseas, first to Kosovo in 2007-2008 and then to Kuwait in 2011-2012.
Joshwa shared a son, Callan, with Mercedes Calvillo, who will be two years old in October.
Josh’s family is not only struggling with the extreme sadness of this tragedy, but this is compounded by other family health issues and financial stress. Josh’s life insurance benefits ended when his military service ended in 2012, so the family is solely responsible for laying him to rest, which will cost approximately $13,800. Please consider attending his benefit Sunday, August 6 from 1-5pm at the Eagles Club. More details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/113416655961985/
