Yeah, it has been brutally cold recently, but thankfully, I believe a heat wave to be coming to Southeast Minnesota (We could hit 28 on Sunday).

So when the weather starts to warm up just a bit, what do you do? Well this Minnesota park is the place to check out!

It is a bit of a drive, but Lake Maria State Park is a small and gorgeous spot where the hiking is breathtaking, according to Only In Your State.

The park is near Monticello, Minnesota, and has 14 miles of hiking trails, along with 6.2 miles of cross country skiing. So, if hiking or cross country skiing, you have to check out this amazing trail. If you love the Minnesota wilderness, and withstand the cold wind that Minnesota always has to offer, this is the trip for you!

There is one segment of the trail called the "Anderson Loop", that embodies everything Minnesota during the winter season. The prairie, trees and snow are just remarkable, along with a good workout.
