I love trying new places when I go out to eat. I mostly rely on recommendations from friends when I’m eating out here in town, but when I travel around the state, I turn to the Food Network for suggestions.

The list at the bottom of this story shows dozens of Minnesota restaurants that have been showcased on national TV. Pizza places, burger joints, Mexican restaurants, and several others have been highlighted, but which one is the best? I was shocked by the answer.

One publication has listed the best restaurants from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives in every state, and their selection for Minnesota really surprised me.

I fully expected it to be one of the burger joints that claim the Juicy Lucy, but it wasn't. It's an ethnic restaurant that serves delicious authentic food.

Guy Fieri loved their food so much that he said, "If you live within 500 miles of this joint, make a vacation out of it."

Ask 10 people what the best restaurant is and you’ll probably get a bunch of different answers and those people might respond differently based on what they’re craving at that moment. It’s really hard to say what the best is, but the team at Delish has picked their favorite in Minnesota.

Read about that restaurant and watch Guy Fieri's review below, but first here are some other restaurants that have been highlighted by national publications:

"You wouldn't expect authentic Cuban food behind the doors of Victor's 1959 Cafe, a small dive restaurant in Minneapolis, but that's exactly what Guy found when he visited on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. From fried plantains to classic Cuban sandwiches, the restaurant brings the heat to Minnesota." - Delish.com

Delish says Victor’s 1959 Café is the best Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives restaurant in the state. Unfortunately, I haven’t been there yet, but I want to go because I love Cuban food.

The restaurant was featured on the Food Network a few years ago. Watch the segment and check out dozens of other restaurants that have appeared on the Food Network below.

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
