Mayo Girls Tennis Squad Headed to State Tourney

The Mayo High School girls tennis team is headed back to the state tournament for a second straight year.

The Spartans defeated Owatonna 7-0 Tuesday afternoon to win the Section One Class 2A championship Last year, Mayo's quest for the state title ended when Edina beat the Spartans in the semi-final round. This year’s state tourney begins October 21st.
